Window Themes Uploaded to Hobbes

I did a bunch of window themes for eCS a few years ago.  One of the problems has always been installation and no good way to uninstall.  With Warpin, I have fixed this.  I have also divided the themes up into new categories.  The first one I have finished and have uploaded to Hobbes incoming I called "Mac_like".  Once installed, if one does not find any theme he/she likes, just use Warpin to deinstall the entire package.  It is either all or none.  It would just be too time consuming to try to make it where one could install just individual themes.

By the way, I have created some pencil and ruler animated pointers for eCS that should be found in the next version of the drawingboard icon theme Christian uploads it to Hobbes.

Do you have any screenshots you could post of the themes? They tie in with the Window Theme manager that is bundled with eCS right?

The package has just a small picture of the control buttons and radio buttons used for the themes.  It works with the eCS Windows themes manager.  Just install with Warpin.  If you don't like, use Warpin to deinstall the entire package.  Everything is done automatically for you now. You don't even have to remove the lines from the thememgr.idx file anymore.

There is one hitch.  If any of the themes were installed before with the old non Warpin installation script, the lines in the "ecs\system\thememgr\thememgr.idx" will have to be manually removed after installing the Warpin Package.  The files are ok. Warpin will just copy over the old files and once done, will be able to remove them.

Once installed, open up the Windows theme manager and scroll down to the new themes.

Even though, the themes will work with eCS 1.0, the Warpin script does not install to the proper locations with with that earlier version of eCS.  Anything done on eCS 1.0 would have to be done manually.

If one had installed the themes from the previous non warpin installation package(s), the easiest way to install the new packages is to delete all the theme entries in the "thememgr.idx" except for the first 12 window themes and then install with the new Warpin installation. As the new Warpin packages are complete, they can be easily installed.  The advantage is that the Window theme manager will be better organized.  Also if one doesn't care for the wood themes, the metal themes, the XP themes, etc..., all one has to do is not install the warpin package or install it and if none of the themes appeal to the user, just use Warpin to uninstall that theme package.

The old non Warpin install required that the user install all 133 window themes.  By splitting up the package into various catagories and writing a Warpin install, one no longer has to have all 133 window themes install unless they so choose.

I am thinking about putting an * at the end of the theme description to indicate which themes have titlebar icons included.  Right now, one has to start eStyler lite to see if that theme has titlebars included.

The * did not work so I am not going to worry about it.

I have uploaded more window theme packages to Hobbes incoming. I still have more to do, but this is most of the original 133 windows themes now with a Warin installer.  I have tested and everything appears to uninstall as it should should someone want to remove any of the window theme packages.
