Serenity . .. .

I guess that none of us knows how many users that have access to the beta and rc releases. But, I really think that it's pity that the betas hasn't been available for all registered users of ecomstation; since there is a different to have subscription on fixes and updates and new future products. One would assume that the broader and the more users testing the new release the better - and that there might be a risk now that when the final release comes out that it's a ticking support bomb due to the lack of testing.

But, lets see - it's going to be interesting to give a spin on couple of systems to see how works out.

There is the company that pre-installs eCS with 2.o installed in a separate partition. Perhaps they could have the latest beta version?  ??? I do not remember the name of the company.  :'(

EXACTLY !!!!

The gene pool is small enough without shrinking to a level of absurdity!  The beta should have been in as MANY hands as possible.

Frankly, I really had not thought about it like this before because my software subscription ran out after 1 year after upgrading to eCS 1.2R, but; while still having the assurance to receive an eComStation 2.0 GA digital download with one of the qualifying eCS 1.2R part numbers.

Between eCS releases, it is kind of like licking your forefinger, putting it up to the breeze, and waiting for the air currents to change. It might be nice to have more of a "vested interest" in eComStation.

It would have been neat to try it on my Gateway 200s and two Thinkpads.  :'(

There is no reason to not have private betas for people that already paid. They already showed their intent.  It shows on torrent anyways. And the people that download it from there do not send in reports.  More IBM way of thinking on SSI part.  I have paid for every release, but this issue puts me off.  But l am greatful for all their work, thank you  g shaw
