Remember the OS/2 Certification program to get OS/2 professionals certified by IBM?  There were classes, tests, books, etc. just like the MSCSE certification programs.

Recently I came across some of these materials in my 'archive' and I've put them up for bid on eBay. The large book does not have the CD-ROM originally included, but there is an official IBM Education catalog I've added which completely details the certification process and lists all course objectives for the various certification programs once offered. You can use these materials to "certify yourself" on OS/2, LAN Server and more.

Please have a look...

I have some OS/2 networking items I'll offer soon as well - please check my other listings...

Thanks for looking!

Hmm... I actually have a copy of that book (the New Riders one by Bruce Hallberg / Kathy Ivens) complete with CD... Even though it is a bit dated, I still find myself referring to it.

Hi Fahrvenugen, did you ever try the apps on the CD?  I don't know what happened to mine - I sure can't find it.... did you ever take any of the cert. tests?

Fahrvenugen

I havn't looked at that CD in a while, but I do seem to recall that it had a Warp demo and some IBM promo stuff on it, some sample certification tests, I think there was some LAN server stuff on it too, I can't recall what else.

Maybe I'll dig it out, see what I can figure out as far as what the licensing of the stuff on it is, and anything that can be legally uploaded I'll upload...  At a minimum I can post here a summary of what all it included.

I found one of those books at my work the other day. It was going to be thrown out so I captured it and put it in the cabinet so it wouldn't get thrown out.  ;D

Perhaps Serenity Systems could have something similar for eComStation?  ???
