I cannot find a way to connect my network printer HP 2840, directly to my eCS 2.0 RC5 computer (or any other version for that matter).  Do you have to have a domain controller for this?   I do connect using  share from my WinXp computer.

Hello BigFig,

Yes, from your description I figured the first one would work out for you.

I forgot to mention that the second and third way to do it, require that it's available through another computer/server and not directly as with your printer. You can use that one if you have a computer connected e.g. through USB or parallel port to one computer, share it and want to print to it from eCS or OS/2.

Feel free to point out parts where my description can be improved. Hopefully it's as complete as possible to help others as well in similar situations as yours.

"Ln" and "n" at the end of HP printer version numbers indicate a printer that can be connected directly though the network and not rely on some server/computer.
