Hello all,

Here's one that I think is new. Today, I was looking for how to round corners of div and table borders. I did a google search, and started opening links (in the background) to review. On the third or fourth link (while they were loading, or when I was right-clicking to get the "Open in new tab" option (because I was too lazy to use both hands and control-click - but that's irrelevant), suddenly everything within the Firefox window's frame border flipped 180 degrees. And then of course, Firefox locked up hard and I needed to restart the computer.

I'm attaching a picture - sorry it's blurry, but all I had was a cell phone with a crappy picture (and since the GUI was locked up I couldnt PMView snapshot it).

I will attempt to find what site caused it (assuming it wasnt just some weird glitch) - and if I can replicate it, I will post more - then upgrade to the newest version, try to replicate it, and if I succeed on that version, post a bug report.

Rob

Hi,

sorry (since it doesn't help at all) to say that this looks really funny. ;)
What is interesting yet is the fact how the popup menu entries are aligned (I can't see in detail whether the characters are flipped or not due to the blurry picture). That looks strange. Since ffx 3 doesn't make use of the IFE any more (AFAIK) it would mean that there's a flaw between Gecko/Cairo and the PM...?

Cheers,
Thomas

Here's a mockup of what happened... the toolbar areas on Firefox never redrawed, but everything else was a perfect vertical flip (ie: not a 180 degree rotation - a top to bottom flip)... including the pop-up menu. All spacing and alignment was perfectly maintained. Both images and text and every control element that it managed to redraw were perfectly flipped and the same alignment as before the flip & lockup.

Couldnt replicate the problem sadly... so, unless other people have seen this, I guess we can just chalk this up as "weird"  :-\
