We are looking to buy an Ibm O/S2 comp, but are having trouble locating one.  Any ideas on where to look?
Thanks.

If you're looking for a copy of OS/2 to install on a computer, you'll want to get eComStation (which is the latest version of IBM's OS/2 but enhanced with newer device drivers, fixes, etc), at:

http://www.ecomstation.com

If you want a computer built with OS/2 (eComStation) pre-installed, there's a few vendors out there doing that.  I know BlondeGuy sells pre-loaded systems:

Hope this helps

It looks like the blondeguy is out of desktops at the moment, is their someone else that is on the up and up that you can recommend?

Thanks.

I have a p3 Celeron (1.13ghz) with (currently 256mb, soon to be 512mb RAM) that runs eCS flawlessly. Comes with an 8gb HDD. I'd like 35$ + Shipping.

You also have http://www.curtissystemssoftware.com.
ecomstation.ru have a list at http://en.ecomstation.ru/projects/ecspc/?action=buy, don't know how updated/reliable the list is but it gives you some ideas.

If you are based in the UK you can contact me with your requirements.

I do not have prebuilt systems for sale but am quite willing to put together a system that will run eCS2.0

You pay the cost of:-

hardware components used to build system
software - operating system and any other software you want installed
carriage
£50 for my time (and aggravation involved)

As eCS2.0 is not yet GA to obtain the latest Release Candidate of that system requires purchasing eCS1.2R plus eCS Software Subscription.

My reason for specifying eCS2.0 is the ACPI support which seems to be required for most modern mainboards.

Ya, we still sell these sealed. The thing is there is a limitation on disk size unless you get a fix pack not included in the sealed version; also it is nice to have a partition program that creates a viable HPFS partition so your install can go smoothly...MOD
someday os2 will be ruled by the young and famous-at least in the open-source world!
