Use the Font Palette for OS/2 and eCS->1.2R; click the Edit button to open a dialog to add a font

For eCS2.0 open System Setup -> Fonts and simply drag'n'drop fonts into that folder.

Another nice option that I particularly like (and usedta have a license or three (yes three) for) is Font Folder. The trial version is still floating around someplace on the Net and is fully functional when it comes to font management.

Another option.

  • Put the font-files where you want them to be and let that folder be open.
  • Click the system setup folder in eCenter and then open (right-click) "Fonts" folder.
  • Just drag the files to that folder and they will be installed.

First step is cruical. If you move the files after installing, os/2 will not find them. That's an opposite behavior to the usual where Os/2 always keep track of files.
