Hello, i've got a lot of problems trying to install eCS 2.0 RC1 on my T23:
After the end of the 1st phase, on reboot, a loop creating the objects desktop..a window never see before (Warning! the Desktop folder does not exist and there are no information available in OS2.INI..create the folder anyway? Resume/Cancel and in both cases a popup window prompt and the same window so, the only think to do was CTRL+ALT+DEL!!!!
After a new installation (formatting the HD), is important for the T23 to rem some lines in config.sys:
PSD=ACPI.PSD
BASEDEV=APM.ADD
RUN=C:\OS2\CMD.EXE /Q /C C:\OS2\ACPIDAEMON.EXE
before the first reboot, else, it will trapp, after this (rem and reboot) it seem that works fine and finish the installation, but the desktop is incomplete (icons in warp 4 style)..seem tha the SGUIDE.CMD script was stopped, and programs like iTheme, Arcview and lucide, does not works.
Is it possible to solve the problem without re-installing eCS?

Don't know if you need to reinstall, but I completed an install on a T23 to use for debugging. I selected ACPI to be installed but checked to open up the maintenance console at the end of phase 1. I rem out all acpi statements and complete the install. After completing the install I un-rem the acpi statements. I did notice that for some reason 2 TESTCFG2.SYS statements are placed in the config.sys. Also, for some reason it beeps when a program starts but it is not related to acpi or uniaud. Oh, you need a newer version of uniaud too.

Uhmm, ok, i'll try another time. following your method. Surely, the uniaud version that works is the one from Paul Smedley, the test version on netlabs ftp server, since the ACPI version 2.20, so, usually, i install the AC97 from regular mmos2 setup and on reboot i change it.
About the Desktop rebuild:

But i never tried it before.

I don't know about the version on netlabs, could be Paul's or Brendan's

All of mine (Brendan) have been removed from Netlabs ftp for some time. Any build of mine, recognizeable by "gbo" in the zipfile name, that have been on the Netlabs server to date, are faulty and should not be used in production.

This will not be true of my future builds, as the problem causing it has been resolved.
