It seems to run fine, but I'm not sure how to make it work.

I'm reposting this since it's not showing up in my last post.

Here is the package for Mercury/2:

http://www.os2notes.com/files/Mercury2.zip

Just change the path for your Java 6 installation in the CMD file.

Opps, for some reason I can't upload after installing eCS 2.1 ???

The new file has been uploaded and should be OK now, sorry:

Hi, Mercury 2 RC8 (with latest odin and java1.6 (unsafe smp build) ) will start but it is very slow compared to 1.9.5 with java 1.4.2. Some function aren't working but the most important is that the friends list is unusable !!!
This is unusable for me and it cannot be told as working. See the picture

I plaied a litle with "view" and html tags but this didn't help to make it usable and full name display
Cheers

Strange, mine is fine and not slow. But I do not have SMP build.

I think it should all work in SMP mode due all PC's and new systems are SMP (single core CPU are very old and results in a drop of performance).

As you could see, the problem seems not to be with SMP but with fonts and space between lines etc...
The performance issue looks more to be due SMP mode...

Mercury 1.9.5 with java 1.4.2 took 2s to start while v2 rc8 + java 1.6 needs about 8s to start !

Cheers

I tried it with Eclipse IDE 3.6.2 'Helios' for C/C++.
Couldn't get it to work first time.
Tried borrowing the Eclipse enabler but that didn't work either.

Any suggestions.

P.S. Anyone got SmartCVS or SmartSVN working?

I run SmartSVN and SmartSynchronize occasionally. No need for CVS anymore. It works on different machines but had a little to much crashes with Java apps on my main SMP machine :-). So downloaded the WSE version at weekend but didn't install it till now.

Gregg

I have SmartSvn 6.6.7 working fine with it. You need to use SET JAVA_OPT=%JAVA_OPT% "-Dsmartsvn.checkIncompatibleJava=false" or it will fail.To get it to work on SMP you need to set all the JAVA exes to use only one processor. This is true for JAVA 1.42 also. SmartCVS still works with JAVA 1.42 so the Dsmartsvn.checkIncompatibleJava=false switch doesn't appear to be available resulting in SmartCVS failing to load.

One App I really liked is JDownloader.

It takes some time to load, and some updates that it does when it loads, but it is good tool to download file. It also support other sites like YouTube.

I think this app is the a Must Have Java Application.
