Adding Hebrew Support to WebExplorer
By Amir Meiri
First, you need the file WWW862.CMD supplied with the Hebrew versions of Warp. It is in the \OS2\BIDI directory in your OS/2 drive.
You might also need a Hebrew Warp installed, but I havn't checked a non-Hebrew one. If you don't have one installed, you'll definetly need at least Hebrew versions of one of more of the fonts WebEx works with. (Courier, Helv...)
Change to the BIDI directory:
CD \OS2\BIDI
Type:
WWW862 x:\TCPIP\DLL\WEBEXWIN.DLL
(x: is your OS2 drive, and change the TCPIP to anthing else if you didn't install the IAK in this (default) place)
This runs for a while, doesn't tell you anything except when it's found two tables it looks for, and changes them. When it's found the second one it exits. Then, push mouse button 2 on WebEx Icon to go to Settings, and from there go to the "Language" page of the notebook (if you don't have this, you're probably running non-Hebrew Warp, and you can skip this step) Remove the check-mark at the "Use Default Settings" box, by pushing it (if it's checked). Then change the "Text Type" to "Visual".
Done.
Now you can see pages in Hebrew.
Don't forget that running this with WebEx running, you'll at least need to close WebEx, then use the icon whose settings you've changed to run it again, and sometimes even to shutdown + reboot, then run the procedure again BEFORE you load WebEx.
If you've already messed around with the Language Settings of WebEx, you'll need to use all default settings, except for Text Type: visual.
Examples:

- mofet.macam98.ac.il
