It would be neat to have a Smart PC running eCS (the smart os) for the Smart Car.  ;D It would be the smart thing to do.  8)

It would be "smarter" yet to
Quotehave a Smart PC running eCS (the smart os) for the Smart Car
which ultimately leads to the production of some "S-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d Smart Cars (SMART-LIMOs)"  ;D ::) ;D

Smart PC running eCS?

While I think that is a great idea, I do believe that it'll be quite a s-s-t-t-r-r-e-e-t-t-c-c-h-h before you'll see it!

... And that you're more likely to see a Smart PM in office first.

getting back to smart anything, a smart chip in the brain could monitor when you are having a fit over Vista and near stroking out as the case may be, subsequent releases of MicroSoft build 6000 is when the gamble got rough as MS is not "soft" on its competion and Vista did not take off like Win95. NEXT we'll see what develops as MS now has a big stake in hardware more than ever, needing desparately to nudge itself into gamer and server arenas whilst getting control of the mobo market one way or another.
someday os2 will be ruled by the young and famous-at least in the open-source world!

Are we talking about expecting a "SmartFor TwentyFour" or something like that!!! Where in the world is "BWG and KITT"  ;D ;D ;D

It looks like we are very late for the show South Of The Border since our "SmartFor TwentyFour LIMO" with "W-I-N-G-S" has not arrived?

Quote`FANTASTIC', `Breathtaking', `Out of this world', were among the words used by Guyanese yesterday to describe a scintillating aerial demonstration by the world-renowned Brazilian Air Force's Smoke Squadron (Esquadrilha da Fumaca)

Now, that must have been "Smart Flying"; and, one wonders if "OS/2 for PowerPC" can run on these?  ;D

Have a nice day!

Perhaps Microsoft will have its own hard ware for Windows like Apple has for os? Perhaps this will free other computer companies to install whatever os they want on the hard ware?  ???    ::)

If the Fortwo was as narrow as the Tango, it would be a ForOne.  ;D

Hey BigWarpGuy,

If it is not going to be surprising if Microsoft comes out with
Quoteits own hard ware for Windows like Apple has for os?
my guess is that instead of "Tango" the name might be "Samba" and the colors will all be shades of Greenin keeping with the Greening Revolution that is taking place in the world and that would be called Smart Greening by Redmondians ;D

The problem is not Redmond, the bypass goes right thru, its in on Issequaw Sasckomich and The Renton Highlands, that is where you get in trouble, no jungle no Starbucks no aircars...no place to "PLUG-IN"

green is simple, blue is fun...no stretching the point! [or is it Big Al's Limo-server on OS/2?] and now, for the Limo Dispatcher...
someday os2 will be ruled by the young and famous-at least in the open-source world!

The Tango is a very narrow electric vehicle that seats two; the paasenger behind the driver. The first Tangos had a price tag of $80,00.00. :)    8)

Brazil: An emerging market faces challenges

SAO PAULO, Brazil--Drive through the Morumbi neighborhood and you'll see luxury homes and one of the city's best hospitals. But head just two blocks further and you will find yourself in Paraisopolis, one of the city's many slums.

No wonder that tech executives see the Brazilian market in equally divergent terms.

Brazil is the world's fifth-largest PC market and is part of the influential BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) that always gets talked about. Yet for all its strengths, it does not have the cash influx of either India or China, nor does it have those countries' strong education systems, cheap labor forces or access to capital.

"We always joke that the BRIC is really IC," said Claudia Fan Munce, an IBM executive who grew up in Brazil and focuses on IBM's venture efforts in emerging markets.

They do not accept Microsoft,....

Perhaps, that MS "SAMBA" PC may be accepted.  ;D ;D ;D

Have a nice day.

Brazil has a cool looking little car by Obvio called 828 and 012. The 828 is nice but the 012 is sportier. It can use either ethanol or gasoline. http://www.obviousa.com  ;D

It might be a really real cool for the Obvio to become a SmartObvio by becoming OS/2-eCS enabled so that SmartPeople in the U.S.A in their SmartFor Twelve can Communicate, Collaborate and Coordinate with SmartPeople in Brazil driving their SmartObvio

on ways in which they can improve the social lives of the peoples of United States of America and Brazil.  ;D

Never Say Never!  ;D 8) ;D

Think that Brazilians do not have access to development finance - think again! ;)

Quote

What Is the IDB?

The IDB is today the main source of multilateral financing for sustainable economic, social and institutional development in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as for regional integration. It provides loans, grants, guarantees, policy advice and technical assistance to the public and private sectors in its Latin American and Caribbean borrowing member countries. Fulfilling a long-standing Latin American aspiration, the IDB was established in 1959 with bold mandates and novel tools that made it a model for other regional development banks.

The IDB Group is composed of the IDB, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF). The IIC focuses on support for small and medium-sized businesses, while the MIF promotes private sector growth through grants and investments.

Thus, from all appearances all that the world is awaiting now is the arrival of eComStation 2.0 from the Serenity folks; and, if eComStation 2.0 does not arrive with all the "bells" and "whistles" to make the Americans and Brazilians happy then there may be lots of :( faces at Christmas time.  8)

SmartObvio 828 or SmartObvio 012 sounds good. It is even shown with a computer screen. :)

It would be Smart (neat) if when soccer matches between the United States America and Brazil are being played they could be viewed on the screens of the "SmartObvio 828, SmartObvio 012, the SmartFor Two, the SmartFor Four, the SmartFor Eight, the SmartFor Twelve L-i-m-o...... ; and, it could be S-m-a-r-t-e-r still if Americans and Brazilians can figure out (when using their SmartPCs powered by OS/2-eCS) how to solve the social and economic problems of the folks (in the case of Brazil) living in the
Quotefavelas (slums) located throughout the country's largest cities.
and, the problems in the "housing and financial markets" (in the case of the United States of America).  8)

It is called - "e-C-o-m-m-e-r-c-e"  ;D  8) ;D
