Fujitsu launches palm vein authentication system
San Jose (CA) - A security device that authenticates individuals using the unique patterns of the veins in their hand, was released for sale in North America this morning by Fujitsu Computer Products. The so-called contactless palm vein authentication device," yet to be branded, lets individuals wave their open hand over a sensor panel, with the benefit that the device--engineered for use in high-traffic areas--need not ever come into contact with germ-carrying hands. ...
