Taiwan's Nanya Technologies and Winbond Electronics have successfully trial produced 4Mbit x 32 DDR chips for use in graphics cards, and expect to enter volume production by year-end, said DRAM makers. Samples have already been sent to graphics chip and DRAM module makers for verification, and once obtained, the DRAM suppliers predict strong demand to emerge in the first quarter of 2003.
