UMC's 0.15-micron copper process used for SandCraft's SR71040A
On June 24, United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) announced that it is manufacturing the new SR71040A CPU from US-based design house SandCraft on its 0.15-micron copper process. The MIPS Technologies instruction set architecture-based SR71040A features smaller caches in a lower pin-count package compared to its predecessor, SR71010A.
