Samsung Electronics and Hynix Semiconductor plan to boost their DRAM production volume by more than 60% in 2002. Samsung plans to produce 1.15 billion 128Mbit-equivalent die, up 64% from 700 million units in 2001. Hynix will produce 879 million die, up 62% from 542 million in 2001.
