Athene is an extremely flexible, multi-platform operating system that is designed for desktop PC's and embedded systems. It can be completely reconfigured to suit the requirements of the target system, as well as the needs of individual users. The user interface is totally rewriteable and is famous for its ability to emulate other interfaces such as the Microsoft Windows and Amiga desktop environments.

Unlike any other operating system, Athene is specially designed to work both as a 'virtual machine' and as a full operating system installation.
