in response to the great feedback we received on our Workshop in February this year, we want to adapt the agenda to our business needs more closely.

The next Warp Community Update Workshop is scheduled 09-09-2002 to 09-13-2002, starting Monday 1:00 pm and ending Friday 1:00 pm.

Location is IBM Duesseldorf, Room 64, Karl-Arnold-Platz 1a, D-40474 Duesseldorf.

Please give us feedback about what you want to see at the workshop, or better, what you want to show to the Community.
If there is any product, whether from IBM or not, that might be interesting for forthcoming OS/2 related projects, please let us know.

The current agenda plannings include

  • Updates on OS/2, including latest device driver news (like IBM High Rate Wireless LAN PC Card-128)
  • WorkSpace On-Demand V3.02 on OS/2 Warp Servers
  • Virtual PC for OS/2 - integrate full Win32 support on OS/2
  • Migration Scenarios
  • Virtual PC for Windows - run OS/2 applications on top of Windows
  • Automatic user authentication using Biometric data (USB FingerPrint mouse)
  • Solving hard disk and partition related rollout issues using DFSee Server Consolidation using IBM eServer xSeries 440

    As always, the workshop itself will be at no charge, all attendants will bear their travel expenses.
