There is a new version of XSane for OS/2 available.

XSane is a powerful frontend to access scanners which are supported by an OS/2-Version of SANE(Scanner Access Now Easy). It requires an XServer (for example XFree86 for OS/2 or HOBX11) and a working libsane.dll.

Following is from the OS2.readme file, which is in English:

This version supports:
- preview scan, preview zoom
- scan and save to pnm, jpeg, png, tiff, ps and raw file
- handling of all backend options
- helpfiles
- copy mode (printing via ghostscript, see section "copy mode")
- ocr output to a textfile using gocr.exe
(http://home.tiscalinet.de/fbakan/gocr-os2.htm)

XSane is BETA. This version works here with my EPSON GT-9500 Scanner on OS/2 WARP4 Fixpack 15 with SANE 1.06. Please give me (Franz Bakan" ) any feedback if you try it as to how it works with your
setup.
