DECalc version 3 has been released on May 14, 2001 as donation-ware.
DECalc is a calculator for OS/2 PM developed using DrDialog for OS/2. It has all of the simple calculator functions which most people need in a hurry (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square root, percentage) and some more sophisticated functions (factorials, x-to-the-y power, sine, cosine and tangent, and multiple concurrent memories).
New features and enhancements since version 2.4 include:
* Increased result window from 20 to 32 character maximum length
* Added functions: sine, cosine and tangent
* Added functions: convert between BIN, DEC, HEX and OCT base systems
* Added functions: BIN, DEC, HEX and OCT based computations
* Changed %, sqrt, x^2, x^y, and 1/x functions so they complete the calculation
* Added spin button to select number of digits after a decimal point
* Added option to auto-save/auto-load number of digits after a decimal point
* Added configurable list of constants for use as input
* Added function: random number generator (rnd)
* Added function: cube root (cbrt)
* Keyboard % now emulated % button
* Keyboard ESC now emulates AC button
* Keyboard Backspace now emulates < button
* Corrected issue in install.cmd to allow installing to the source directory
You can download DECalc 3 at

the /incoming folder at hobbes.nmsu.edu.
See the included decalc.html and readme.txt files for details before installing DECalc.
And finally, a message to those who feel I make too many releases.
I hereby declare that I will take every opportunity to enhance functionality, improve efficiency, and correct programming errors in my software. If you feel I make too many releases, then please stop upgrading when the program does what you need it to do. I appreciate your
concern, but I also appreciate that there are still OS/2 developers who are motivated enough to continuously improve on their programs.
Besides, I'm still a beginner at programming. I am learning by developing DECalc. If you prefer software which comes with more features than you can possibly use in version 1.0, then look to IBM and Lotus, not to newbie freeware programmers such as myself.
Thank you.
