F/X Communications in conjunction with Nortel Networks' Contivity VPN
Switch now offers enterprises a VPN solution for OS/2-based clients.
More info on:
The InJoy OS/2 connectivity products now support integrated IPSec
client software which interoperates with the Contivity VPN Switch
Release 2.6 and later. This enables OS/2 users to securely connect
across the Internet and take advantage of contivity's VPN services.
"This is excellent news for enterprises relying on OS/2 as part of
their network", said Jonathan Lewis, Nortel Networks contivity
Product Manager.
Mr. Lewis continues, "The InJoy product enables Contivity to extend
its IPSec client support beyond the traditional base of MS-Windows
users, allowing a larger community of users to benefit from
Contivity's VPN capabilties."
Notice that the Nortel CES must be specifically configured to support
third party IPSec clients, so Nortel switch configuration is required
for a successful configuration. New (soon to be released) InJoy and
IPSec software is also required.
