SNES9x is an emulator for Nintendo's 16 bit home gaming console, the
Super Nintendo. It featured sequels to most of the games that the 8
bit Nintendo made famous, as well as having some new gems of its own.
Through the magic of Scitech's Multiplatform Graphics Library (MGL),
this gaming experience can now be brought natively to OS/2 users.
The OS/2 port of SNES9x has been updated with the latest changes from
the official source tree bringing the core up to revision 1.32 (the
former release was based on version 1.29 of the code).
Here's what's new and different:
* Core update fixed bugs in several games (Battletoads is one of
them)
* Now using an assembly SPC700 core (faster!)
* Completely reworked frameskip algorithm (faster for machines that
required frameskipping)
Requirements:
* SDDHELP.SYS build 113 or higher (included)
* DART support
* EMX .9d runtime libraries
The EmuOS/2 web page is currently still down, but I didn't let that
postpone the release. You can grab this version from Hobbes at the
following link:
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/snes9x_132_os2_r4.zip
And after it is moved out of /pub/incoming, you can find it here:

Please read the included ReadMe.OS2 file thoroughly. Send comments
and bug reports to
MAME for OS/2 soon!
