Paul Smedley has released an OS/2 build (6/28/2007) of Samba version 3.0.25b. Unlike the older Netlabs port, it does not require Security/2. Provided are both the Samba server, and a client plugin for the NetDrive Filesystem, which supports 64-bit file I/O with NDFS 3.0 or higher. It allows you to mount SMB or CIFS shares on OS/2 without the need of NetBIOS (IBM LAN Manager or IBM Peer).
