ACPI driver version 3.0 was released (8/9/2007) on the eComStation Betazone (for Software Subscription customers only). Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) is a replacement for APM, PnP, and related hardware features. It features support for multiprocessor systems (SMP, Dual Core, and HyperThreading), and there is an APM driver available (poweroff works, but suspend causes traps if you have an Intel NIC!). There is an ACPI Tools web page as well, which includes a battery monitoring widget for XCenter. From OS2.org.
