Hi All,

I've been spending a great deal of time over the last few weeks working on getting GCC 3.4.6 working on OS/2.  Our current GCC (3.3.5) is starting to cause problems with projects like Mozilla due to it's age and the reluctance of the Mozilla maintainers to accept patches that are due to bugs in old versions of GCC.

My port is now in a state where it can be used to compile many different programs (rsync, mysql, apache2, samba, firefox) so I figured it's time to publically announce it.

The port is largely based on Knut's changes to v3.3.5 that are contained in Netlabs SVN.

Thanks to the brave guys on the libc.user mailing list that helped test the previous build and pointed out the likely cause of the problems building Mozilla :)

The OS/2 binaries (and source patches) are available from my ports page at http://os2ports.smedley.info

Cheers,

Paul.
