Mr. Message for OS/2 is an instant messenger client which is capable of communicating over AOL's Instant Messenger network using the OSCAR protocol (used in the Win32 AIM clients, jBuddy, gAIM, Kopete, ICQ, and a variety of other clients).
It has been updated with the following changes:
* Fixed receiving instant messages from other clients.
Damn protocol changes!
* Fixed a small memory leak when an IM is received that is not understood.
* Added new scriptable events for pre-processing and post-processing instant messages. This should allow anyone to write a translator for other languages and character sets. See ReadMe.REXX for details.
* Added new functions to the REXX subcommand interface to display messages in the chat window (without sending them to a user), and to get a user's alias.
* Included more sample scripts in the REXX package to demonstrate new REXX integration features.

This is the final release of Mr. Message since I am now working on a full port of Gaim (which will cover all of the functionality of Mr. Message and a whole lot more, including multiple protocols such as Jabber, Yahoo, and MSN to name a few).
If a fix request for Mr. Message is simple enough, I will do it. But if it takes too much time, I'd rather devote the time to the Gaim port.
