I've uploaded a lightning enabled thunderbird-3.0.1 build to
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/incoming/mozilla
Please, have a look at the readme that's uploaded as well. The most
important bits of the readme:
"I have also integrated the lightning calendar extension, because users
asked for it on several news groups. However, it may be during the start
of
thunderbird with your old profile that you get an error message about
the creation of a local calendar. It appears that some database design
was changed
which results in that error message. In this case, watch out for
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=529853.
This bug contains an extension that will fix the error. Be sure to right
click
on the link to the third visible attachment "Extension to fix the
Problem - v4"
and save the extension "fix-storage-v17-0.4.xpi" to some folder.
(do not use the left mouse button in firefox, it will try to install
this extension
in firefox, which will _not_ help). Install the extension with the
extension manager
of thunderbird, restart thunderbird, the extension will fix the data
base, close thunderbird, restart it, de-install the extension, restart
thunderbird
again.
Everything should be fine then.
A number of quirks compared to thunderbird-3.0 were fixed. Please read
the official release notes.
Any problems should be posted to
http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.ports.os2/ .
Have fun, Walter
