QT version 4.6.2 has been
ported (5/14/2010) to OS/2. This is a cross-platform application and UI
framework. Applications that use QT include VirtualBox, SMPlayer, Psi,
Scribus, and LyX.
Development is funded by donations from the community,
and the amount of donations
made so far cover the current goals, although surplus funds will be
used for even further development, such as a future update to Qt
version 4.7. Sponsor units can be purchased from the Mensys online shop.
The QT4 runtime libraries and plugins are necessary
for running programs built with the QT4 library. Included is an XCenter
system tray plugin, which extends the functionality of earlier SysTray
plugins. Highlights of the new version include printing support through
CUPS, faster drawing using DIVE, support for WebKit, and context
sensitive help.
