A project to implement printing in the newer versions of the Mozilla apps is under way. Rich Walsh has released (10/31/2010) test builds of Firefox v4.0b8pre and Seamonkey v2.1b2pre that now offer support for native printer drivers. The native printing support is currently limited to 360 DPI or less, hence the previous Postscript printing support (which also works with CUPS) from previous test versions is also available. These releases also use Exceptq v7 to generate debugging reports should the app crash, and there are improvements to the memory management that should decrease problems with shared memory.
