Samba client version
2.1.0 beta 1 has been released (3/7/2011), based on Samba 3.3.14. There
has also been a second refresh (3/6/2011) of version 2.0.1, based on
Samba 3.0.37. This is a plugin for the NetDrive Filesystem (or EVFS),
which allows you to mount SMB or CIFS shares on OS/2 without the need of
NetBIOS (IBM LAN Manager or IBM Peer). The Samba command line
utilities have also been updated (3/8/2011) to version 1.0.6, based on
Samba 3.0.37, while there is also a version 1.1.0 based on Samba 3.3.13.
Presumably, you'll want to match Samba versions for your client and
utilities, although that isn't clear.
