DFSee version 7.09 has been released today
It fixes a few irritating bugs, and improves imaging performance.
It also introduces AUTOMATIC LOGGING now at startup, presenting the user with a file-open dialog. This will take some getting used to for experienced users, but should make sure a good record is kept of exactly WHAT you where doing in DFSee :-)
DFSee is the SWISS-ARMY-KNIFE for disk and filesystem problems. With FDISK-like displays, analysis and recovery, FIX commands, UNDELETE for HPFS/NTFS, imaging and cloning. More details at:

Most important functional changes since 7.08:
- CLEANUP New in Mode=FDISK menu, cleanup chain of extended containers
- CLONE Apply start and size values from commandline in the dialog
- DISK/GEO fixed CR bug after changing the geometry on a virtual disk
- EXT/Log New freespace-type when holding EMPTY extended containers
- FAT CRC Fix FALSE alarms, about FAT1/FAT2 crc being different
- IMAGE Accept mcs-numbers for -s and -F options, allowing GiB etc
- IMAGE -S option now implies -z option too (smart imaging, compress)
- IMAGE Apply start and size values from commandline in the dialog
- IMAGE -z Huge speed improvement, 45% faster again (6.11-7.08 slower)
- LOGGING Automatic logging dialog at startup, unless -l or -l- switch
- Mouse Fixed problem with unreachable top-left area on OS/2 desktop
- Mouse Added -mouse- program switch to disable the mouse completely
- PART -w Lowered severity for some minor warnings in standard display
- RESTORE Accept mcs-numbers for -s and -F options, allowing GiB etc
- RESTORE Apply start and size values from commandline in the dialog
- ReiserFS display more fields from the superblock, incl partition size
- WARNINGs when empty extended containers are detected in EBR, CLEANUP
- WIPE Accept mcs-numbers for -s and -F options, allowing GiB etc
The Diskette and CDR-ISO imagefiles are updated as well ...
