Here is the general availability release of FotoGet/2 Version 1.0.8, a freeware utility to ease the transfer of your pictures from your digital camera to your eComStation (or OS/2) PC. The camera must be accessible from eCS (OS/2) by a driveletter. As you might know already, this is not a device driver.

While version 1.0.7 was originally meant to be the last 1.0.x release, a few bugs and a few new ideas overthrew this plan...

So, what is new in this release?
+ A drive is only scanned for pictures if it is formatted FAT, VFAT or
FAT32. This new behaviour can be turned off (See added switch below!)
+ The total size of files to copy is shown.
+ Show detected filesystem on unsupported drives.
+ New commandline option:
/NOFSCHK switch to turn off the filesystem check (i.e. scan any drive for pictures)

What was fixed in this release?
! Dialing through the camera driveletter does not trigger an immediate scan for pictures anymore (there is a 1 second delay now).
! FotoGet 1.0.7 would crash after a fresh installation, when no FOTOGET.INI was present (which means there were no new users since 1.0.7).
! Caption of camera groupbox was not NLS enabled
! Speeded up reading and writing of the .INI file
! An errornous subfolder named "_" was created if "No subfolder" was selected.
! A transfer is refused now in case the total filesize of all files is 0 (Zero).
