Download Description
This software package provides IBM's most current support for:
- Intel's SpeedStep technology for IBM ThinkPad T2x and T30 systems
- Intel's Enhanced SpeedStep technology for IBM ThinkPad T4x systems

The following IBM OS/2 operating system versions support the SpeedStep and Enhanced SpeedStep Technologies, when the appropriate OS/2 Fix Packs and device-driver support are applied.
- Warp 4 Convenience Pak Two Manufacturing Refresh
- Warp 4 Convenience Pak Two
- Warp 4 Convenience Pak One

Prerequisites
OS/2 Loader Support is a prerequisite for this support.


Installation instructions
For clean installs of Warp 4:
- Install your Warp 4 Convenience Pak
- Install the OS/2 Base Fix Pack Two (XR_C002) or newer
- Install the OS/2 Device Driver Fix Pack Three (XR_D003)
- Install the SpeedStep and Enhanced SpeedStep device-driver support from the OS/2 Device Driver Pak Online

1. Create a temporary directory (for example 'xxxx') and download the driver to the directory. In an OS/2 window enter the following commands:

3. os2spdst -d
4. gsvinst

This device driver version is only available to customers with an active contract for Passport Advantage with Software Maintenance. If you have purchased a Passport Advantage contract, the terms and conditions of that contract will determine the services to which you are entitled.
