Synopsis: Report By Marty Amodeo . From comp.os.os2.games. (According the Marty the procedure is exactly the same to make FalOut 1 than 2) I just tried out Fallout 2 with the 10/26 release of Odin and it works perfectly. Here's what I did: Run the installation procedure and select a "small" install. The installation will hang when it's done. It'll tell you how to launch the game, then when you press the OK button, it'll hang. Kill off the Setup process. This hang occurs because a console app that is run from Setup doesn't seem to close itself out automatically. This console app creates a Fallout2.cfg file, and since you killed off the process, it will not be written properly. On your installation CD, execute the following: pe \program\win\cfgwin.___ [CDROM drive root directory] [installed directory] Small 65152 This will create a valid Fallout2.cfg file and you should now be able to run the app by running "pe fallout2". A similar procedure probably works with the various other installation sizes. The only problem I've seen is a SYS3175 on exit from the game. This problem does not affect gameplay in the slightest.
