Major Major (non-crippled shareware) has been updated to version 1.60. You can download it from
http://www.pmoylan.org/pages/os2/major.html
or from
ftp://ftp.pmoylan.org/Major/major160.zip
or from Hobbes.
Major Major is a mailing list processor. It fetches mail for a mailing list, either from your ISP or from your own computer (if you run your own mail server), and then distributes it to the list members. Multiple lists are supported, and digest subscribers are supported. It also handles the commands like "subscribe" that people use to interact with the list manager. It is possible to set it up to respond in different languages for commands for different lists. Moderated lists are supported.
For those users who have been following the beta releases, the important new feature is a fix for the bug that was inserting faulty "From:" lines into list messages. (This bug was caused by confusion about the interaction between the "From:" and "X-Originally-From:" addresses. The "X-Originally-From:" should now be included only in messages being sent to/from the moderator(s).) For those who have not upgraded for a long time, there are many changes.
