It allows playing of MIDI files without wavetable synthesis hardware, but at a similar level of audio quality. It does this by using synthesized sound samples, loaded from external files, to convert the MIDI data to digital audio -- basically, performing the equivalent of wavetable synthesis entirely in software.
This release fixes a minor but annoying bug in the original 2.10.4 port, and is provided as a WarpIN package for easy installation. (The "EAWPATS" package, provided as a separate WPI, is also recommended.)
