I've just built ffmpeg from the latest cvs source as of this evening, Sunday 11th September, Central Australian Time :)
It can be downloaded from http://smedley.info/os2ports.html
For those that don't know, ffmpeg is a command line tool to convert one video file format to another.
See http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net for other details.
ffserver & ffplay have not been ported at this stage.
Included in this latest release is support for mp3, xvid, dts, ac3 & also pthreads.
With pthreads support, you can tell ffmpeg to use multiple threads using the -threads x option - where x = the number of threads to use.
I'd appreciate feedback on this release - particularly from users with SMP systems that may benefit from the threads support.
Cheers,
Paul.
