Mr. Message for OS/2 is an instant messenger client which is capable of communicating over AOL's Instant Messenger network using the OSCAR protocol (used in the Win32 AIM clients, jBuddy, gAIM, Kopete, ICQ, and a variety of other clients).
It has been updated with the following changes:
* Debug console was removed. Mr. Message now functions as a normal PM application but you can still get the debug log by piping the console output to a file.
* Custom sound events can be set up by the user.
* Support for server pause/resume messages (won't get kicked as often anymore).
* Now flashes user status changes for a few seconds so you can tell who has done what without reading the debug console.
* Reports idle time to servers when the window has been inactive and the mouse has not been over it.
* Updated buddy list to reflect proper capitalization and spacing of buddy names if this differs from the server-stored buddy list.
* Saves the filtration options on the buddy list window.
* Fixed bubble window off-by-one pixel row error (potential to crash for bubble windows of certain sizes).
* Fixed handling when AOL boots us from the network. The session will now close gracefully. (Auto-reconnect feature coming soon.)
* Fixed displaying away messages after user has set "back" status.
* Fixed displaying both profile and away message while user is away.
* Fixed handling of screen names that have been reformatted with spaces (and had previously shown up as not ever online).
* Fixed the spelling of the word "exiting".
